I have been teaching this class since the year 2000.  Many of the men and women who have taken this class contact me today.  They share their stories of how the class has given them the skill to create and administer Herbal remedies to themselves and their families.
 
When you have taken this class it will qualify you to be able to attend our monthly apprenticeship day.  On the first Saturday of the month join others in the workshop of the Natural Health Hut clinic and assist me in making herbal remedies.

The Mission of this class is to teach you how to create Herbal Remedies to Heal yourself. Participants
 learn how to create their own herbal medicine to treat common ailments 
with infusions, decoctions, concoctions, oils, salves, and tinctures.
Rose Kalajian's  Sprial-bound/Step by Step Workbook, "Handcrafted Herbal Remedies" will be offered for $25.00.

Cost:  No-charge and no donation required.  The class is Free.  My Goal is to empower you to create herbal remedies.
    
We will create the following: 

Herbal Tinctures: You will create 3 tinctures using 3 different solvents. We will discuss why and when to use a tincture and what dosage to administer. You will also decant solvents.
Salves/Ointment: You will create a salve (burn and wound salve) and pour it into a tin. We will discuss why and when you would use a salve/ointment and how to apply the product.
Herbal Capsules: You will create herbal capsules. I will share with you my formulas for encapsulating herbs for digestive health, relieving stress and anxiety and what the dosage would be.
Compress and Poultice: I will share with you my formula for sprained limbs.
Decoctions and Infusions: You will create a decoction and infusion. We will discuss the numerous ways to apply this herbal tea to the body as medicine both internally and externally. We will also discuss dosage.

Packaging and Labeling: You will learn the "FDA" requirements for Labeling your product.

Snacks and beverages will be served for your enjoyment.

This will be a hands-on workshop. The materials you use will be provided.

You will take home some of the products YOU create!

CLOTHING REQUIREMENTS: Be comfortable. However, be aware that your clothing may be spattered.

FYI : The classroom can fit only 6 persons. We fill up quickly.

*A refundable deposit of $25.00 is required. You can choose to apply the deposit to the cost of the workbook, or not.
