I am Rose Kalajian-Herbalist. How did I get started Promoting Health thru the World of Plants ?
- First... my parents would give us herbal teas and herbal soups to stimulate healing. And When I was 13 years old ....
- I walked into a health food store and bought a Herb book called, "Back to Eden" by Jethro Kloss. After reading his journey as an Herbalist, I knew that I wanted to follow his path.
- I have worked and studied toward that goal, devouring any and all information about the Plant Kingdom.
- After moving to this land, in 1986 from Miami, Florida, I began to identify the wild native plants growing on my 7-acre botanical Sanctuary.
- After I had identified them I began to research their uses as food to promote Health.
- I tasted them in herbal teas, used them in Herbal Extracts, and created salves, etc. with the herbs on this property.
By a Guiding Light I was led in 1990 to Sage Mountain Herbal Center and my professional Herbal Studies studies with Rosemary Gladstar began.
I worked Full-Time and went to Herbal School -Part Time.
In 1997, I graduated. My diploma from the Sage Mountain Herbal Center, declaring that I am an Herbalist.... hangs proudly on the wall.
My husband, Lewis and I tailored our rental cottage, located on our land , to meet the requirements for owning and operating a herbal business.
In 1998 I opened my doors to the public.
My Business, The "Natural Health Hut" ...
is a Herbal Store w/on-site herbalist,
Herbal Farm (for live and dried health-promoting plants)
and Educational Center (Classes-Lectures).
This 7-acre Herbal Farm supplies my community with:the herbs which I use in my Herbal
Supplements such as Extracts, Herbal Teas, Salves, etc.
and providing Dried Herbs and Live Plants for Sale.

My mission is to Promote Health Using The Plant Kingdom.
Here in Wesley Chapel Florida I have created a Botanical Sanctuary. Part of my 7 acres is a Cypress Bay-head, a protected Area.
A portion of my land I have planted gardens and other areas are wild and un-manicured.
We are visited by many animals such as Deer, Raccoon, Vulture, Possum, Armadillo, Fox, White faced Owl, Hawk, Cardinals, Woodpeckers and insects galore. They are all my teachers.
It is quiet and peaceful.
